The server was really nice and took good care of us even when it started to get busy. We got one of the seafood buckets which was good, but not excellent. We've been here before and it was better. Seems this time some of the seafood was a bit overcooked.

Lobster, carne asada, street corn, what more could you ask for?? This place is a great spot for groups with ample seating areas, lots of shareable dishes, huge mugs of beer and a relaxed atmosphere. They have a large array of drinks and tons of different entrees to choose from. The Original Big Baja Bucket was the perfect size for 2. It had just enough of everything that each person gets to have what they want. I recommend getting your corn as the street corn option, definitely worth it. The wait staff weee friendly and helpful. With plenty of large tables, this place was made for groups to come and dine together. The parking lot has two sides but is a bit small for how many people the restaurant can accommodate so come early or you might have to use the paid parking lot next door. If you need a good group spot for your friends to hang out with good food and drinks, this is a great spot.

Came in today, 4th of July. Sat at the bar with my wife and was served by Michael K. Outstanding drinks, food, and service. Michael was friendly, attentive, and made a killer 'Naughty Rita' for the wife and Ranch Water for me. Excellent 'bar service'.... something most places lack. I hadn't been in years....going to come far more often. Great place.

I've been coming here for years and this place never misses. It's family oriented, it's fun to take friends. It's great for all gatherings. They have outdoor and indoor seating and the service is great. They have a complimentary salsa bar with chips. And they serve unlimited beans, tortillas and rice with your meals. And let's be real, we all come here for one thing. And that's the amazingly huge buckets! So generous, so delicious, there's always food to take home. You can share the buckets with about 2-3 people. There's something for everyone, crab, steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster, corn etc. it's over all a no brainer. Also another thing, the butter, omg that butter. I could just eat that with the tortillas and be happy! Pop in and try them out. Parking is a little rough but there's parking all over old town. Cute for date nights, definitely sight seeing is a must. There's so much to do in that area.

Been coming to old town San Diego all my life and it's the first time coming here. With this gem there is no need to go south of the border anymore. Lots of great food rich in flavor and not at all expensive. The fried ice cream was also insanely good. Service was good and didn't bug us much if we needed more food. Place is nice standard Rosarito style place. Can't wait to come back

Came in for some seafood and drinks on a Saturday afternoon and this place was pretty packed. They offer valet parking for six dollars. We took advantage of that. Otherwise you can try to find street parking, which could be pretty challenging in the Old Town area. We sat in the bar area and ordered a feast. We got the Baja bucket. It included 4 Lobster Tails, 12 Baja Style Shrimp, Skirt Steak, Grilled Chicken, Corn On The Cob, Beans, Rice & Warm Flour Tortillas, 2 Caesar Salads and a fried ice cream to share. Everything was delicious! They also had a salsa bar with a variety of salsas to choose from. They were all fresh and very tasty. I loved the mango salsa! It was pretty loud in there, but it was busy also. Customer Service was on point and our waiter was attentive even sitting in the bar area.

Hooray got to eat here and bring our doggy along! The server was kind and when we asked for a water bowl for our dog, he was able to provide it! The place is really large and theres many different seating areas so all of the guests were separated and assorted along the restaurant. It was nice because it gave a sense of privacy while we relaxed and ate. There's large screen TVs everywhere in our area and got to enjoy some March Madness basketball while we ate. My partner and I shared the Fajitas Fantastico which came with lobster tail, shrimp, fajita veggies, and carne asada! The food was delicious and quite filling; the salsa bar was full of unique salsa selections. The carne asada meat was so tender and cooked just right, the lobster was juicy and fluffy tasting. It was a great meal!! Placed and located in a busy area -- Old Town San Diego so parking can be tough!! Oh yeah, a lady came by and took our photos to gave a free postcard of the place! $15 if you want the prints she offers as well.
